Mr. Patterson grew up in Washington Borough, New Jersey. It is there that he developed his love for music. Mr. Patterson accepted his first music position in the Capital School District in 2009 and began working on his Masters at the University of Delaware in Instrumental Conducting. After completing his masters, Mr. Patterson accepted a position in the Smyrna School District for one year before joining the Lake Forest family in 2015. One piece of advice he would like to give his students is greatness does not happen by accident. It takes determination and practice. If everyone strives toward greatness, then the ensemble will be amazing.
